About the Automatic Edge Bander
An automatic edge bander is what separates factory-finished modular furniture from carpentry. The panel enters one end and leaves the other with tape applied, ends trimmed flush, edges radiused, glue line scraped and the surface buffed — typically at 12 to 20 metres per minute.
High frequency trimming motors slide on precise guideways so the finish stays consistent through a long production shift. Pre-milling cleans the panel edge before glue is applied, which is the single biggest factor in a glue line that will not open up later.
